With this new hotspot in Place Saint-Josse, Brussels citizens now have access to the free wifi.brussels network via 67 hotspots.
The Secretary of State in charge of the Digital Transition, Bianca Debaets, and the mayor of Saint-Josse Emir Kir have just inaugurated a wifi.brussels hotspot in the Place Saint-Josse, right in the centre of the municipality.
Bianca Debaets, Secretary of State in charge of the Digital Transition
: “
Digital inclusion implies all Brussels citizens having Internet access. It has become a fundamental right. That's why we are continuing to expand our network of wifi.brussels hotspots with free access. We are preferably doing so in partnership with a municipality, as here with Saint-Josse-ten-Noode”
.
Access to the various hotspots of the wifi.brussels network is therefore free and it is also very simple:
a single sign-up with an email address is all that is needed.
Alongside the hotspots in streets, squares and in public buildings, wifi.brussels is also being rolled out in all 69 metro stations.
