Wi-Fi in the metro

29 May 2015

Smartcity.brussels wishes to offer free Wi-Fi in the Brussels metro.

We need Wi-Fi every day to access all those online services. Smartcity.brussels aims to offer this service to everyone free of charge in the Brussels metro, using the regional wifi.brussels network.

At a restaurant, a bar or a friend’s home, our first concern is often logging on to the Wi-Fi network. Many smart cities have made a priority of opening Wi-Fi access points in public spaces.

Smartcity.brussels wishes to offer free Wi-Fi in the Brussels metro by rolling out the regional Urbizone network to the busiest stations. These are:
  • Botanique / Kruidtuin
  • Gare du Midi / Zuidstation
  • Louise / Louiza
  • Madou / Madou
  • Porte de Namur / Naamspoort
  • Simonis / Simonis

Vote for your Wi-Fi metro station!

Take part in our vote to choose the first Brussels metro station to offer Urbizone Wi-Fi.
