28 August 2018

The VUB Chair on Smart Cities will be holding a new master class on Thursday 6th of September.

Thursday 6th of September (2 - 5pm, Pleinlaan 9), we will be holding a new master class as part of the VUB Chair on Smart Cities during which we will look at data collection/sharing and privacy in a Smart City context from three different angles:

  1. Method: Stepwise approach to setting up privacy-friendly Smart City initiatives
  2. Practice: Learning from experience in the City of Ghent
  3. Legal: Privacy laws and regulations clearly explained

The presentations will be held by Rob Heyman & Nils Walravens (imec-SMIT-VUB), Bart Rosseau (City of Ghent) and Bart Van den Brande (Sirius Legal).

The Smart City Master classes are trilingual depending on the audience and the preference of the speakers.
