IRISbox’s user-friendly makeover

23 November 2018

IRISbox, the online platform for Brussels regional and municipal services, just had a major update in order to make it more user-friendly. IRISbox’s new modern, minimal look comes with easier access to its online user forms. Doing online admin tasks has never been easier!

The electronic desk is constantly developed to make it even more user-friendly. The newest version of IRISbox, which was launched on 21 November 2018, responds to this very goal.

Even faster online admin

As soon as you land on the homepage (www.irisbox.brussels) you can clearly feel the change: the new design makes it easier to navigate and you can immediately look for the service you need, by institution or service or simply by using the search bar, without identifying yourself beforehand.

After selecting the service and public administration of your choice (for example, a composition of household from the municipality of Anderlecht or a one-day pass for the Low Emission Zone), you are just one click away from the identification module, which has recently been expanded to include Itsme, a smartphone app providing seamless access to the municipal and regional forms.

IRISbox in short

IRISbox is an online admin desk providing around-the-clock access to the Brussels Capital Region’s communal and public services. The platform, which was developed by the Brussels Regional Informatics Centre (BRIC), allows users to process their administrative tasks related to Brussels communal and regional public services online, which avoids travelling and queueing. Also, in Auderghem (at the town hall and its branch at the Delta-CHIREC hospital) and Saint-Gilles (at the town hall and its Public Centre for Social Welfare (French: CPAS, Dutch: OCMW), there are several self-service terminals which allow users to request about ten official documents without going up to the counter.
