Motor scooters in Brussels

06 May 2019

More motor scooters = fewer cars

Hello, I’ve been using a scooter in Brussels for seven years now. Nothing is being done to encourage this form of transport, which would reduce congestion. One of the big problems in Brussels is the number of people sitting alone in their cars. If 20% of cars were replaced with scooters, this would cut the number of cars on the streets. Streets are also getting narrower all the time. I can understand that this makes people slow down, but it often prevents motorbikes/motor scooters from driving through the cars stuck in the traffic jams.
