Free transport close to home

07 May 2019

Improve mobility, reduce the use of cars and the need for parking spaces for short trips close to home

Today we tend to always take the car, even for short trips such as a ride to the town hall or to do groceries in the neighbourhood. Not surprising, because if you are on the bus for just two or three stops, you're paying way too much for a ticket. If we'd propose free transport for short trips, we could seriously reduce the use of cars and the need for parking spaces. This can be done without negatively effecting public transport, for example by only offering the free transport service during off-peak hours.
