STIB tests autonomous vehicles from 28/6 until 22/9 in Parc de Woluwe

17 June 2019

Busses, trams, a metro system and, very soon, autonomous vehicles, too! The STIB has its eyes firmly set on the future, offering tests with self-driving shuttle buses in the Parc de Woluwe this summer.

YOU can test them, too!

Why?

Meticulously testing this new technology and gathering as much knowledge as possible about these vehicles is the first step. After, the STIB wants to add them to its service offer, mostly in areas that aren’t supplied or insufficiently so, such as a university campus, a hospital or a parc.

In practice
  • Two shuttle buses which will travel a distance of maximum 1800 metres in the Parc de Woluwe
  • Each shuttle bus can hold 6 seated and 6 standing passengers
  • Each shuttle bus is accessible to people with limited mobility
Learn what it is all about, test them for free!
  • From 28/6 to 22/9 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 9 pm in the Parc de Woluwe.
