Lights and connected objects for cycle tracks
Purpose: to ensure fluid cycle traffic, which is increasing in Brussels, using smart-city technology, especially on the major roads, by indicating when the lights ahead are green (small ring road, Arts-Loi, Belliard, Roosevelt, Louise, etc.). The signals are installed in sufficient numbers along the white lines of cycle tracks according to distance and feasibility. The LEDs light up when the traffic light is green and switch off one after the other as the light changes. This would keep cyclists informed of the status of the lights ahead and would ultimately increase traffic fluidity.
