Unlike previous major crises, the Covid-19 pandemic affects almost all sectors. "It has exposed the dark side of globalisation and at the same time proved the great importance of international cooperation", writes Bulgarian political scientist Ivan Krastev.
But how can societies gradually return to "normality"?
What measures should be taken to better prepare for the future? To put economies back on a sustainable growth path and to protect and preserve civil liberties? How important is research and development, digitalisation and innovation? Did the media do enough to inform during the crisis?
The Smart City Festival 2021 will provide answers to these questions by bringing together international experts from business, science and politics, as well as stakeholders and decision makers from different regions.
