A successful edition of Digital Spring!

27 March 2023

The 3rd edition of Digital Spring has come to a close. The Brussels festival of digital technologies attracted nearly 5000 visitors. They flocked to RESET on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 March to attend conferences, demonstrations, augmented reality experiences, artistic immersions, but also educational and interactive workshops where visitors could create their own video game. On Friday evening, the very first drone show in the Brussels-Capital Region attracted more than 800 spectators.

This was the 3rd edition of this free festival, organised by Paradigm in collaboration with visit.brussels. The aim was to present the capital’s many digital initiatives to all audiences: passionate enthusiasts, young people who want to learn how to create their own video games, visitors curious about the possibilities of artificial intelligence, or professionals interested in the impact of the "drone revolution" on the city. Around 40 exhibitors took part in the event.

This year's theme was digital in the air. A large number of cameras, sensors and drones were on show. The many workshops and demonstrations allowed visitors to discover what can be done with these devices. The explosive photobooth was popular. But A.I.D., the VR game that lets you ride in a drone, was also very popular.

The first drone show in the Brussels region

Most memorable, perhaps, was the drone show on Friday evening. It was the first of its kind in the Brussels-Capital Region. The show took place near the Column of Congress in Brussels. More than 800 spectators attended a grandiose 15-minute light show featuring some 150 drones.
