MOTs should include exhaust-gas emissions! An idea suggested by Christian (Kapellen)
It’s high time the emissions of cars were tested not on the basis of theoretical papers, but according to reality. And by that I mean that when a smoking car drives by, the police should have the right to take that car out of circulation and demand that it be recertified within a specified time limit. And it would be up to the recertification bodies to ensure it was done properly (e.g. if the soot filters do not work or have been removed, etc.). The same procedure as for cars with malfunctioning brakes!
