Each year, the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona is the focal point of smart city initiatives. For the 2018 edition, the Brussels Region was among the exhibitors.
The Smart City Expo World Congress is the largest world congress in the smart city field. Its 2018 edition, which was held from 13 to 15 November, brought together nearly 850 exhibitors and around 400 speakers.
The Brussels-Capital Region made the trip to Barcelona to exchange and share information with the 700 cities present about the development of smart cities and to present its vision and its solutions widely covered on the smartcity.brussels portal.

bedigital.Brussels. An ICT expert, a staff member of the regional public sector, highlighted the smart projects being conducted in the Brussels Region.
