Quo Vadis Smart City?
In the fall of 2019,
our Smart City Manager Céline Vanderborght was invited to contribute to a book about the future of Smart Cities: ‘Quo Vadis Smart City?’, a publication by the Dutch Foundation Innovation for Safety (SIVV) in collaboration with Strateq, a research and advise agency promoting sustainable development for regions and companies in order to guarantee an inclusive, safe future.
The book doesn't only touch upon the Smart City strategy of the Brussels-Capital Region and other regions, but also looks at abstract themes such as ethics in smart cities (chapter 18 and relevant questions such as 'How can we turn education into a generator of opportunities?' (chapter 16).
