Belgium will be locked down from Wednesday 16 March until 5 April in order to fight against COVID-19. All Belgians are asked to stay at home and have to limit their movements to the bare essentials: health, food, bank, pharmacy, post, gasoline and help to people in need.
These avoidance measure are currently the only way to contain further spreading of the coronavirus.
Most Brussels governments have closed and are available by mail or phone only. This is done to protect the citizens as well as government staff.
However, there are many online apps and services which allow you to stay in contact with your municipal and regional government.
The Brussels-Capital Region has created a page which includes links to these digital government services and their contact data on the regional web portal so that you can keep up with your government-related administration.
The accompanying manuals are available, too.
All manuals contain the helpdesk’s contact data should you encounter any issues.
The Region hopes that this will safeguard your good health as well as your civil rights and duties.
This page will be updated regularly. Stay connected!
