Already 10,000 downloads for the My Brussels app which also gets new features
• 07 April 2021
A new version of My Brussels, the 100% free app available on iOS and Android, has been released. In addition to the weather, traffic information and the STIB timetable, My Brussels now offers information on animal shelters, Actiris branches and digital public spaces. The application, which also aims to create a dialogue between the population, businesses and public authorities, now allows Brussels residents to offer their suggestions for improvement directly in the app.
New features
It is already time for the My Brussels app to release a new version enriched with a multitude of new features and data. It is now possible to consult the locations of animal shelters, places accessible to people with reduced mobility or to find out about waste separation.
Brussels residents can find the nearest public toilets, digital public spaces, find out where the Actiris branches are located or search for the nearest medical centre.
"Our ambition is to add more services. This application will evolve permanently", announced the Brussels Minister of Digital Transition Bernard Clerfayt (Défi) when the app was released last December. Mission accomplished!
Listening to the people of Brussels
To encourage dialogue between the population, businesses and public authorities, the application now has a space reserved for "suggestions". It will now be possible for the people of Brussels to share their wishes for the future development of the application.
"Thanks to these new features, we are continuing our efforts to make the Brussels Region a connected region and thus position ourselves among the leading European Smart Cities," concludes Bernard Clerfayt, Brussels Minister for Digital Transition.
