DPSs

A Digital Public Space (DPS) is a public access space that makes digital technology available to the whole population. The DPS is a front-line actor in the fight against digital inequality and is the most effective tool for integrating people who are removed from the digital world.

A DPS provides equipment (computers, ID card readers, etc.) and an Internet connection, either free of charge or for a nominal fee. It is the multimedia facilitator at the heart of the DPS system that guides visitors towards digital technology and makes them autonomous.

The Digital Inclusion Coordination has worked on a map of DPSs in the Brussels Region. It produced and distributed bilingual (NL/FR) flyers to all mailboxes in the Region in 2020 and 2021. The DIC updates its flyers every year and has translated them into English, Arabic, Turkish, Albanian, Portuguese, Polish and Romanian. You can find all the flyers via this link.
